My Favorite Coping Mechanisms

1. Writing
Writing for me, clears my thoughts and helps me figure out how I'm feeling and what to do about it. I recommend the app Day One Journal! It's free and its like a diary on your phone, but if you're into writing physically the diary may be a better, more aesthetic fit. If you feel like voicing your concerns and using your voice to help others creating and writing a blog could be helpful for not just you but your readers.
2. Listening to Motivational Podcasts
Right now I'm listening to ROLE MODEL: Personal Growth, Mindset, Mental Health by HEALTH FIRST on Spotify. My favorite episodes so far are Episode 24 featuring Simon Sinek where he talks about finding your purpose, your "why" if you will. I also was feeling Oprah's speech which is seriously such an impactful 5 minutes, that one's Episode 29
3. Watching Ted Talks
My favorites are Living Without Shame with Whitney Thore, How To Build Self Confidence by CeCe Olisa and Ending the Pursuit of Perfection by Iskra Lawrence
4. Taking a Hot Shower
Sometimes all you need is a hot shower with your favorite body wash and hygiene products and bangin music! In the end you come looking and smelling better than when you went in.
So many therapists and people say the same things: exercise, meditate, read, color, get outside. But sometimes you don't even want to leave the house elt alone go outside or go workout, and sometimes your mind is too loud to focus on reading or coloring, so here are some alternatives
